Three-day National Techno-cultural festival–‘POLARIS 2019’ from October 17 at GNDU
Amritsar, 16 October: Department of Computer Engineering and Technology of Guru Nanak Dev University is organizing the 4th edition of their annual Three-day National Techno-cultural festival–‘POLARIS 2019’ from October 17 to October 19.
Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Head of the Department said that this year anticipates an even amplified footfall credited to unprecedented attractions, sure to leave the spectators awestruck. Vice Chancellor Prof.(Dr.) Jaspal Singh Sandhu will be especially present on the opening ceremony of this fest. The Technical Fest shall be graced by benevolent presence of Mr. Bobby Bhatia, a renowned tech entrepreneur and a mogul investor based out of Singapore & Hong-Kong, serving currently as the founding CEO of ‘TrakLabs’.
Following his TEDTalk on Blockchain, the festival will proceed to conduct its well-curated itinerary of 30 plus academic and entertaining events. Beginning with the staging of ‘Mr. and Ms. Polaris’, a talent hunt cum pageant, next events in line like ‘Blind Code’ and ‘Game Jam’ will challenge the participants on a wide gamut of skills, promoting holistic growth.
Following day boasts ‘RUNUTSAV,’ a ‘Decathalon’ sponsored 5-km marathon from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. intended to invigorate the runners and promote healthier lifestyle. The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 2017 Finalist, Mr Parvinder Singh, well known stand-up comedian will perform on 18th Oct in Dashmesh Auditorium of University. With provisions made for the comfort of participants, all the events reiterate the message of all-round development. All in all, the fest being an amalgamation of various hues, has a diverse portfolio to lure and impress all kinds of audience.
