Seminar on Innovation and Product Development organized at GNDU
Amritsar, 04 October: A seminar on ‘Innovation and Product Development’ was organized in the Placement Department of the Guru Nanak Dev University. Mr Srinivas Chamarthy, eminent entrepreneur and the Chief Innovation Executive of CYME Automation Systems PVT.LTD conducted the seminar. Students of B.Tech.CSE, B.Tech. ECE, B.Tech. Mechanical, B. Tech. Civil, M.Tech. and MCA from main campus as well as regional campuses participated in the seminar.
Mr. Chamarthy motivated the audience to become engineers and scientists with a solid aim in life and be useful to the society at the same time. He encouraged the students not to move abroad and urged serve their mother land. The bearer of a Masters degree in engineering from Osmania University, Mr. Srinivas said that he always had one question in his mind since he was a child– “Why can’t the country make all the equipment it needs?”, making his urge for the ‘Make in India’ venture stronger, thus inspiring him to launch an activity called ‘A Journey to Realize Self’. With an idea to interact, learn, share and work, the activity aims to realize our potential for innovation. What we require is channelizing our energies in the proper direction with support and encouragement, wherever necessary,” he said. Later he answered the queries of the students. He said that innovation is key to the sustained growth and young engineers should focus on methods of innovation.
Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor added that these interactions will surely help in grooming the young talent to make them successful entrepreneurs, so that they can contribute to the development of the nation. Dr. SS Behl, Dean Academic Affairs also interacted with Mr. Srinivas Chamarthy and discussed the need for innovation and product development for improving the life of common people.
Dr. Amit Chopra, Asstt. Placement Officer said that Mr Chamarthy is a successful and well-known entrepreneur and the Chief Innovation Executive of CYME Automation Systems PVT.LTD. His micro firm deals with the research and development of electronics for high-efficiency defence systems. He travels across the country on his Bullet bike for delivering lectures on the ‘Make in India’ campaign and encourages students to make the program a grand success. He has already covered more than 1,21,422 kilometres from July 2015 on his bike across India for sharing his experiences with students of engineering, science and technology as well as inspiring them to become the ‘overseers of development’ and making the country self-reliant in all fields. So far he has delivered 300 Lectures & 400 Interactions in colleges.
