Two-day national seminar on ‘India’s Foreign Policy: Continuity and Change on March 29-30
Amritsar, March 27: A two-day national seminar on ‘India’s Foreign Policy: ‘Continuity and Change’ on March 29-30, under the auspices of the Indian Council of World Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India is being organised by the School of Social Sciences, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
The seminar aims to initiate critical analysis and discussions on the country’s foreign policy. The programme constitutes of five academic sessions headed by dignitary professors from prominent universities across the country. Varied themes including India’s international relations with its neighbours and the West, dynamics of strategic co-operation, impact and challenges to contemporary foreign policy will be discussed through research paper presentations by more than 40 professors, assistant professors and research fellows from different universities and research institutions of New Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya, Chandigarh and from within the state. The participants will also be taken to a trip to the Wagah Border at the end of the first day of the seminar to give them a glimpse of nationalist fervour in the Holy City.
