8th National Symposium on “Advances in Chemical Sciences” (NSACS-2019 from Feb 15, 2019

Amritsar, 13 Feb 2019: The 8th National Symposium on “Advances in Chemical Sciences” (NSACS-2019) will start on Feb 15, 2019 at Department of Chemistry, Guru Nanak Dev University.

Department of Chemistry, Guru Nanak Dev University announced the inauguration of 8th National Symposium on “Advances in Chemical Sciences” (NSACS-2019) taking place on Feb 15-16, 2019.

Around 13 nationally renowned scientists from reputed institutes will deliver their lectures in this symposium. Prof. Amitava Das, Director, CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI), will be the chief guest for inaugural session. The programme of this symposium will consist of plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations by Ph.D., M.Sc. students and scientists from industry.

NSACS is an annual departmental event which will bring together researcher from academia and industry under one roof for sharing knowledge about cutting-edge research in the field of organic, inorganic and physical chemistry, asymmetric synthesis, supramolecular, materials and medicinal chemistry crystallography, electrochemistry, ionic liquids etc.

        The scientists from different National institutes participating in this symposium included Dr, S. Reddy (CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory), Dr. Debajyoti (Jadavpur University), Dr. Pralay Das (CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology), Dr. D. S. Pandey (Banaras Hindu University), Dr. Pervinderpal Singh (CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine), Dr. Lalitha Guruprasad (University of Hyderabad), Dr. N. G. Ramesh (IIT Delhi), Dr. A. Ramanan (IIT Delhi), Dr. P. K. Madhu (Tata Institute of Fundamental Research), Dr. Ruchi Anand (IIT Bombay), Dr. Deepak Salunke and Dr. S. C. Sahoo (Panjab University, Chandigarh).
